Six Going On Seven?

Six Game Winnings Streak!!!
*Chad Billingsley is on the DL with a right shoulder strain.  He's out for at least a month.  In his absence, Severino Gonzalez gets another chance to impress.

*Proof that Amaro is a liar- “Ruben called me about a week after the season and said we’re going to go in a different direction, we’re going to go younger. And then he signs Aaron Harang and Jerome Williams. So I was like, huh. That’s the way it is. Honestly I think it’s just part of the game and wanted some different faces. That’s the way it goes," said Kyle Kendrick.  In Amaro's defense, both Harang and Williams have pitched better than KK to this point in 2015 and are signed cheaper.

*Minor Moves- 1) 31 year old, right-handed reliever, Chris Leroux was acquired from the Brewers.  He's seen action in 6 MLB season, posting a 6.03 ERA and 1.70 WHIP in 71.2 innings.  He's been even worse in Triple-A this year, with a 8.15 ERA and 1.93 WHIP spanning 17.2 innings.  I know this is only a depth move, but it's a shitty one.  2) 25 year old catcher, Blake Forsythe also became part of the Phillies minor leagues this past week via Oakland.  He's currently stationed in Reading, having only appeared in 1 game thus far.  In 6 minor league seasons, he's a .226/.691 hitter.  Once again, a depth addition.

*It's that time of year again, when Ben Revere becomes a singles hitting machine and boosts his batting average up over .300 within a couple weeks.

*I'd like to give Ryan Howard a shout-out. Instead of sulking, he's attempting to have a bounce back season, and is currently hitting .252/.795 with 7 HR and 19 RBI.  Not earth shattering by any means, but perhaps good enough that a team will bite come Trade Deadline.  Of course the Phillies will still have to eat a large portion of his remaining contract, but also might get something semi-useful in return.

Most of the bench has put up decent numbers over last 2 weeks especially. Cesar Hernandez has walked more than striking out (13-10) with 266 BA & 385 OB%. So instead of most of the team hitting in sub 200 territory as was the case a couple of weeks ago, they now have 8 players hitting in 250-260 territory.

Aaron Harang has a good chance to give the Phils win #7 in a row as he showcases for potential trade.

Supposedly Revere being scouted by Angels and other teams. Well someone needs to be moved for Asche, Brown returns if they ever do.

I'm in favor of Revere being traded if it means someone that will help in the near future.

I hate even numbers! Rockies snap winning streak at 6. Dammit.

Severino Gonzalez yanked after 5 innings of 1 run ball on only 65 pitches. WTF?!

Sandberg is horrible.

Beer-a-Thon, I was just about to come on here and complain about that too. He had a 4-1 lead, and could have gone 2/3 more innings!

Sandberg will destroy this bullpen ...or die trying.

I just hope Sandberg is doing right by players that are supposedly part of the Phillies winning future.

Aaron Nola is ridiculous. 6-2, 52.2 IP, 6 BB, 39 K, 1.54 ERA, 0.82 WHIP. #TheFuture

say it ain't so. He (Ryan Howard) is hitting .292 (28-for-96) with five doubles, one triple, eight home runs, 18 RBIs and a .961 OPS in 27 games since April 19

Howard looking for a month now. Upping his trade value. Some AL team will bite.

it would be nice if someone would bite.. and then let Utley finish his career at 1st base
