What To Imbibe On:
Weyerbacher's Merry Monks.  This is a highly acclaimed beer.  Michael Jackson, the world reknowned beer aficionado, not the dead King of Pop, says it is one of the best Abbey Tripels in the world.  That's some serious respect.  Weyerbacher, located in Easton, PA, describes the brew as "a Belgian Tripel without limitation. We use premium Pilsener malts, candi-sugar, and yeast strains- all imported from Belgium. To be true to the style, our Trippel is bottle conditioned. This means we add a bit of candi-sugar and yeast just prior to bottling. This imparts a special effervescence to the beer, a creamier carbonation, and also extends the shelf life. The on-going fermentation inside the bottle will change the character of the beer as it ages, and you'll find it becomes dryer with age. You may want to lay down a few bottles for future evaluation."

Hazy and golden like an unfiltered wheat. Pure white head. Lovely candied sugar in both aroma and taste. This beer is sweet, but not cloying. Bubbly carbonation. Clove and banana notes. Very enjoyable. It’s strength will sneak up on ya too, with a nice punch at 9.3% ABV,   For those of you dabbling in craft brews, this is a great opportunity to try a new style that might just get you hooked on Belgians (or their American counterparts).

Phils win 1 outta 3.

Pesky little players always kill the Phillies.

Dustin Pedroia, Mark Lemke, Dan Uggla, Cody Ross.

I'm predicting a 59-103 record for the Phillies this season. That might be optimistic.

4 homeruns surrendered in 5 innings is not going to entice trade partners.

Hamels is better than that. C'mon!

Deikman with his Antonio Bastardo impression. Really good at times with the occasional nuclear meltdown resulting in mass exodus and hysteria

Unfortunately, despite all the hype, I think the bullpen will underperform expectations. Diekman is too wild and Giles still has a lot to prove.
