Phillies released Xavier Paul. I was hoping he could be stashed away in Triple-A, but oh well.

Clifford the Big Red Phillie to the 60-day DL.

Lee is going to rehab again instead of surgery. My translation is he does not want surgery but instead of retiring, choose to "rehab" aka go home and rest so he can get his $25 million salary and get to his $12.5 million option buyout. Basically get his $37.5 million then retire unless drastic rebound happens.

This Cord Phelps is actually impressing me early on. He would be battling Hernandez for a spot.

Cord Phelps used to be a helluva prospect.

Can't say I blame Lee. Avoid a surgery (which is always good) and still get paid? Duh.

Always sad to see this kind of end/decline to a very good career that seemed to still have time. Felt the same way about Halladay's sudden demise. Well, time for some youngins to step up.

Yeah, soon the Phillies are gonna be labeled as the place to go for pitchers' careers to be put out to pasture.

I thought I was reading a news article on Pat Burrel as they were talking about lots of drinking and defensive lapses - but it was the Secret Service who fared worse.

On a side note, Jerome Williams now injured hamstring.

Lee, Harang, & Williams need to see the doctor who put together the bionic man. Maybe he can piece together another starter.

Good for him

I truly hope KK does well. I like him. I wouldn't have minded him returning to the Phils. At this point he'd have been a better signing than Harang.

KK may have been our #2...
