Still On The Market - Free Agent Squad

With Spring Training fast approaching (February 19th for pitchers and catchers), I thought I'd scour the free agent market to see who's feeling a bit lonely.  The bats are pretty much picked cleaned, but plenty of value is still awaiting to ink contracts in the pitching department, especially relief pitchers.  Below you will find a 25-man roster composed of remaining free agents.  Some would look good in a Phillies uniform under the right circumstance.

On the free agents:
*Joe Beimel would be a better 2nd lefty than Mario Holland, and if he pitches like he did last year, flip him.

*If Phils unload Howard, Franco/Ruf/Utley could man 1st, leaving an opening at 2nd. If Weeks hits, he could be flipped at the Trade Deadline. This could get very complicated for playing time too, as Utley's best value is still playing 2nd, and Asche and Cesar Hernandez are each capable of playing there too.

*Dustin McGowan would be a decent swingman/longman for the bullpen.

*Bringing back Wil Nieves would make sense.

Nats just signed Casey Janssen. Add Neal Cotts to the free agent team now in his place.
