WSBGMs Collection of Phillies (2006-2014)

We Should Be GMs was established March 28, 2006 and GM-Carson & Corey have been blogging for 9 seasons now. In that time we've witnessed the Phillies ascend the NL East and triumph over all of baseball and stake claim to being a perennial contender in the National League until plummeting the past three seasons. Many players and coaches have come and gone with some even staying for the duration. This post is intended as a means of reflection on all those men who've donned the Phillies uniform during our time in the blogsphere. Enjoy...

Royals or O's are fine by me.

i really like this o's team. they remind me a lot of the '08 phils. and they got a good 5 or 6 good years ahead of them too.

I like the O's and the Royals. It's hard not to root for them. O's have always been my AL team to root for and the Royals haven't been the playoffs since BC times.

O's over Royals. Giants vs Cards - not liking either but may have to root for Pence and the Giants

Burnett leaning toward pitching next year. He might be better after hernia surgery, but at quite the cost- $12.75M.

I would be ok with that. His stats before and after the injury was like night and day. With a healthy Lee and Burnett along with Hamels that makes a solid 1 2 3. Then Buchanan, Pettibone, and Gonzalez plus a couple of off season signings could compete for the last 2 spots. Losers in that battle would join Nola, Biddle, Morgan in AAA as insurance and later in year call ups. I wouldn't spend big on rotation until the team starts to look good. 2015-16 off season could be different in starting pitching market and needs.

Side note, 6 of those 9 pitchers had injury issues this year. So that could be expecting too much
