Let's Get It On- Marlins Series Preview

Philadelphia Phillies (19-22) @ Miami Marlins (23-22)

Pitching Match-Ups:
Tuesday, 7:10 - Sports Hernia Burnett vs. Rookie DeSclafani
Wednesday, 7:10 - KK vs. 100 MPH Eovaldi
Thursday, 12:40 - Cole Hames vs. Henderson Alvarez

Fish's Bats:
R - 204 (6th)
AVG - .263 (4th)
OPS - .746 (5th)

The offense is spearheaded by the man, the myth, the legend Giancarlo Stanton/RF (.318/1.017, 12 HR, 43 RBI). Reclamation project returning from Japan, Casey McGehee/3B is hitting .294/.745 with 28 RBI.  The rest of the cast include a bunch of guys hitting .260ish with OPS around .700, but collectively doing very well.

Fish's Arms:
ERA - 3.72 (14th)
WHIP - 1.30 (16th)

The Phils are screwed this series, a rookie they've never seen (automatic loss), Eovaldi's heater (loss), and Alvarez twirling magic (loss).  Oh, and AJ Ramos and Steve Cishek in the bullpen are freakin' nice too.

Marlins hit more than the Phillies and pitch better than the Phillies.  Make of that what you will...

We must be looking at a three game sweep into 2nd place

I remember when the Phillies were taking 14 or 15 of 18 from the Marlins a few years ago. Good times.

Marlins are a young team on the cusp of something good. Losing Jose Fernandez was a big blow, but they have the minor league depth to still help fill the gap.
