Bob McClure- Pitching Coach

The Phillies answer to their pitching woes, enter Bob McClure. He pitched for 19 seasons in the Majors (1975-1993) with the Royals, Angels, Brewers, Expos, Cardinals, Mets, and Marlins. Primarily a reliever through his career, making 698 appearances to the tune of a 3.81 ERA/1.40 WHIP, McClure has also been the pitching coach for the Red Sox and Royals, with poor results. Pitching guru, Leo Mazzone, offered his services via Twitter, but the Phils passed. Hmm...

Chris Young just signed with Mets for $7.25M, many on here were clamoring for him and thought he would only cost $3M. Contracts are crazier than ever!

Crazier as I have said. Way too much money chasing too little talent.

Still prefer Chris Young for 1 year at $7.25M over Marlon Byrd at $8M and $8M over two years.

Byrd's over pay pulled Young up.

Phillies are just a .500 team if everything breaks right ATM.

With all the money, Free Agents are confidently waiting.

McClure sucks. He is gonna be ass-hole buddies with Howard Eskin leaking clubhouse information the way he did in Boston when he was mistreated.
