Roy Halladay takes the mound in Miami for his final start of the 2012 season. Thank Jeebus!
2010: 21-10, 250.2 IP, 219 K, 9 CG, 4 SHO, 2.44 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, CY, AS, 6th in MVP balloting.
2011: 19-6, 233.2 IP, 220 K, 8 CG, 1 SHO, 2.35 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, 2nd in CY balloting, AS, 9th in MVP balloting.
2012: 10-8, 151.1 IP, 125 K, 4.40 ERA, 1.20 WHIP.
I certainly hope this is not the beginning of a rapid downward spiral for Doc. Both the Phillies and Roy claim there is nothing structurally wrong with his arm. Then please tell me, what the hell is wrong?!
*Interesting stat- Doc has a 3.00 ERA with Kratz in 7 games, a 2.61 ERA with Schneider in 2 games, and a horrific 5.32 ERA in 16 games with Chooch.

Don't forget 2010 - 1 perfect game, 1 no hitter (playoffs)
Surprising that the ERA is worst with Chooch. But Chooch being Chooch, I wouldn't read too much into it. Hopefully just an overall sucky season.
I think it's just a psychological issue, and Doc never really got over surrendering that massive lead in Atlanta last May. He'll probably never be in his '08-'11 form again, but next year won't be as bad as this one.
Halladay was mostly injured in starts with Ruiz catching.
Melky Cabrera request to be removed from batting champ race.
Horrible at bat by Mini Mart.
Howard to miss remainder of season after breaking his toe by dropping a pipe on it. That's not going to earn you our sympathy, Ryan.
That was one of the worst throws I've ever seen to first base there by Hamels. Shameful.
great post
