Take 5?

Can the Phillies stake claim to their fifth win in a row this afternoon with Mr. Unlucky (aka- Cliff Lee) on the mound? It would complete their first 3-game sweep of the season.

7 pitch 1st inning for Lee. Well, that's a good start.

John Mayberry continues to piss me off this season. He hasn't hit and just now he "allowed" a homerun.

I say "allowed" because the man is like 6'5" and didn't even jump on a ball that was just over the wall. A dead midget has a better vertical leap than him. Pathetic.

Mayberry will continue to struggle, be our starting CF next April, sturggle some more, be sent to the minors in early June, and never be heard from again.

Mayberry as a 5th outfielder is acceptable. Anything more...nope.

I truly hope Vic and Pierre get dealt so Dom Brown gets called up and tested.

Deal Pierre

Bring Dom Brown up.

Give Cole Hamels

One more year than Lee at 24 Mil Per.

144 Mil over 6 years. Period.

No inning triggers or buyouts for year 7.

How are the Phillies supposed to build a bullpen and offense if they have 3 starting pitchers plus a closer making about $80M?

Simple, Carson: They don't.

Nobody is going to trade for Papelbon, so he's gotta stay.

Maybe you can trade Halladay or Lee to make financial room for Hamels.

It would be interesting to see what they could get for Doc.

Meanwhile, helluva pitchers duel going on today.

Lee has been fantastic today. Should have a shutout if not for Mayberry.

lee and kershaw were very lucky. papelbon was unlucky. why do they even play, they should just have a coin flip contest in the locker room and call it a day.

And Papelbon just earned $77,000 for doing that... way to go!

Word is the Rangers want Lee back. This could be very very good for us- if Lee is traded to Texas, then we'll get a sick package and we'll have more than enough money to blow Hamels away with an offer. Fingers crossed.

Lee to Rangers would be awesome!!! Seriously, because he's locked up, they'd have to offer a good amount of prospects in return- (Olt & Profar is my dream!).

Then extend Hamels ASAP.

Make it happen Rube.
