All blame does not deserve to be placed upon the Manuel, just a third. Other two-thirds to Amaro and the Players. This team is bad getting badder. Things need to change. Change is likely to happen in the form of players being traded. However, I am curious, if you, the reader, also would like that change to include relieving Charles Fuqua Manuel of his duties. Vote below...
Charlie can't motivate a bunch of rich guys. Everybody is too comfortable nobody is hungry and Charlie just perpetuates that. This team needs a wake up call-firing Chuck is the best way to do it.
Manuel is managing like he wants to be fired. Grant him that wish. It's well past time we began the Sandberg era. If they lose today, Manuel needs to be canned (I'd fire him regardless). I really feel the team has quit on him / tuned him out.
I am all for Ryne Sandberg to replace Charlie. Should have happened when they had a bad spell in the early beginning part of the year. Obviously, Charlie has something on Amaro, Jr., or Charlie would have been gone.
This is a tough question. I don't think Charlie should stay. I also don't think he's earned the right to stay, but I do believe he's earned the right to leave on his own accord. Meaning, he should see the writing on the wall, leave with dignity, and retire at the end of the season (or move to another position in the organization).
Lets hope Sandberg does get called up and Charlie stays. Sandberg can play thirdbase and replace Polanco. Problem solved. Charlie stays and so does Sandberg.
Cholly was good for the team a few years ago. he believed in them and stayed with a guy through a bad stretch and got rewarded when the guy got hot. Now they have gotten like fat cats and are satisfied with mediocre play. The players now longer respond to Cholly's patience. Keep Chooch and Doc and see what you can get for the rest of them in ready to play prospects that Sandberg can work with
Trade Hamels to the Rangers for Mike Olt. Resign Hamels In the offseason. Hamels said in an interview that he would be open to that. Trade Victorino for the best package available. Trade Pierre, wiggy, fontenot, polanco. Restock the farm as much possible with all the players mentioned above. In the offseason...resign Hamels, sign Micheal Bourne so we can finally have a real lead off hitter and move j-roll down to the bottom of the lineup where he now belongs. Call Dom Brown as soon as he's healthy and play him every damn day to find out if we need a new left fielder. 2013 I'd like to see Bourne, pence, brown Howard, Utley, Rollins , Olt, Ruiz Pap, Halladay, Lee, Hamels, Worley, anyone but Joe Blanton. And finally....rube needs to purchase an entire bullpen minus closer. Woud also like to see a stronger replacement for Utley if needed such as a Jeff Keppinger type. This gets the Phil's younger but should still make them a very competitive team next year and also restocked the farm. I should be the fuckin GM of this team, not Rube.!

Relieve him of duties and replace with Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs manager Ryne Sandberg.
Sadly, his inability to strategize has become glaringly apparent now that he has a less talented team. Bring Sandberg up!
Amaro goes ..... Get the winning attitude ...... A bat .... And. Sandburg

No conspiracy theory here. Chuck earned a chance to turn this team around but didn't so now it is time to move on.
It's time for him to go. If I could only get rid of one between RAJ or Cholly, however, I'd get rid of Amaro.
Every day they don't replace the manager or a major player or two, the more they are willing to accept the status quo of sucking royally.

Yes Andrew your right. He should have an opportunity to stay with the organization. In the Phanatics wardrobe department.

Nice...

Shane Shane Shane. What a good Met you would make.
Vic was fun when they were winning but now his hyper active attention deficit just is irritating

Charlie needs a good in-game strategy bench coach.
I don't subscribe to the quick fix "Fire the Manager, cause you can't fire the players" thought process.
Pitching Coach and 3B coaches have shown some bad 2012 performances - more so than ol'Charlie.
I've been ready for victorino to go.

Here's the blockbuster they need - Hamels and Howard, plus 20 million to Texas for Mike Olt, Mitch Moreland, and Jurickson Profar.
I would pitch tent in my mesh shorts if that deal went down.
Would you rather have a package built around Mike Olt or Wil Middlebrooks?
