Pitching- 21 GS, 143 IP, 4-8 record, 130 K, 3.59 ERA, 1.10 WHIP.
The Toronto Blue Jays, Arizona Diamondbacks, Tampa Bay Rays, Pittsburgh Pirates, Kansas City Royals, Houston Astros, Oakland Athletics, and San Diego Padres all have lower payrolls than those four players.

too much of that Salary is on the DL for me to blame Amaro.

$20M of that is for Howard. Howard's contract is solely Amaro's fault. Imagine if Howard were set to hit free agency after that injury in the NLDS. Yeah, he might still be a free agent right now, and sure as hell wouldn't have gotten 5 years $125M.
And half of those teams listed have better records than the Phillies
When does football season start?
I see Utley is going to start playing real games in Clearwater. Anyone have any insight on just what he has been doing to the knees that got him from hobbled cripple to this point? And will all his off seasons have to last longer than his seasons from now on?
Utley is actually dead. They are just reanimating him to sell tickets in Clearwater.
