Wednesday, 8:05 -
Thursday, 8:05 - Roy Halladay v. Chris Volstad
As Carson mentioned this morning, Vance Worley has a sore elbow. The way things are going, that probably means TJ surgery. Unfortunately, Kyle Kendrick will get the start. I don't know why they don't throw Mick Billmeyer. If you're going to put a batting practice pitcher out there, put the best one you've got. I'd rather have Dontrelle Willis back. I'd rather watch Joe Roa fondle his hair for 5 miserable innings. I'd rather watch Kyle Abbott lose another game. [Can you believe Kyle Abbot was 1-14 for the Phils in 1992? That's some impressive futility.]
Baby Bruins Batting:
Runs - 134 (22nd)
Avg - .247 (18th)
Slug - .377 (24th)
Baby Bruins Pitching:
ERA - 3.94 (18th)
WHIP - 1.30 (16th)
BAA - .234 (4th)
Their Danny Sandoval:
Geovany Soto - After 90 at-bats, Soto is hitting .167.
Their Kyle Kendrick:
Chris Volstad - No wonder Miami gave up on Volstad. After seven starts his ERA is 6.92.
Magic Number Watch:
The Phillies magic number is too busy asking its phone if it's raining instead of just looking out the damn window...
The Phils split 4 games with the Cubbies two weeks ago, so I guess they'll split this one too since there is no chance Kendrick will win tonight. Halladay will finally pick up a win in the finale.
