Thome, J-Roll, Blanton, Howard & Utley

*Big Jim Thome had to leave last night's game due to back stiffness? This seems like an all too familiar scene. Oh wait, it is, from when he was with the Phillies in 2005. Give the man a DL stint, he's not helping anyway, and call up Mike Fontenot.

*Rollins was back in the leadoff spot last night. Hopefully Charlie keeps him there and bats Pierre second instead. J-Roll just seems more comfortable for whatever reason coming #1 in the lineup.

*Joe Blanton improved to 16-6 at Citizens Bank Park. I gotta crazy idea. How about when Cliff Lee returns, we start KK on the road and Blanton at home. A very creative 6-man rotation.
*Ryan Howard is heading to Clearwater and may be starting a rehab assignment sometime this week, and his buddy Chase Utley might not be far behind. Having each of them back by mid-May would be nice. Galvis goes back to minor to play every day and attempt to improve is bat. Wiggy moves to 3rd, putting Polly on the bench where he belongs. Orr remains utility infielder, or Fontenot is called up like I mentioned above. Then things are suddenly looking better.

How long before we can declare the Jim Thome experiment to be a miserable failure? He's batting average so low even Steve Jeltz would be ashamed of it and he has less power than Larry Bowa at the old Astrodome.

Maybe some time off would help the old swing...and not having to play first. Even twice.

The PHILLIES. ALWAYS GET a Player Too LATE! The PAST Few Playoff Runs . . .THOME's Bat Might Have MADE A DIFFERENCE! But Not Now!& Its SAD to WATCH . . . .IM A HUGE THOME FAN And Know that HIS BAT DONT GET WARMED UP Right Away. PHILLIES PLEASE KEEP HIM. HE Deserves THAT RING!& IN TIME I BELIEVE THE PHILLIES CAN WIN THE WORLD SERIES AND THOMR CAN HAVE THST STIRY BOOK ENDING!

Howard and Utley coming back by the end of the month would be lovely. Supposing the team can hover about .500 through May, if they play about .550 for June-September, that's about 87 or so wins, which I think could make that second wildcard. Come back soon guys!

The Thome experiment has already failed. Love the guy, but you got to know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em.

When exactly did Hunter Pence become a complete retard in the outfield.
And could he please not swing at every fucking pitch he sees ?
Also Kendrick is trash and Rollins, Polly and Mayberry need to grow some stones and start hitting the damn ball.
Rubens an idiot for signing Schneider because he is a little league caliber baseball player. Someone please hurt him so we can call up Kratz.
Pierre should never try to steal a base again ever!
Wheels repeats the same shit over and over again, game after game. Fuck him too.
That's all for now.

"Wheels repeats the same shit over and over again, game after game." - i was just thinking the same thing today. he's tolerable when they are winning, but during stretches like this is almost unbearable. he refuses to say anything negative and so he just repeats the same stupid, needless, pointless, company-line garbage inning after inning.

Hunter Pence is fun, but he's played no fewer than 5 outs/singles at best into triples this season. Bad.

This offense still sucks.

KK this year <<<<<< KK last year
