Over/Under- Starting Rotation

The bats have been previewed for 2012 and now that leaves the arms. Let's start with the starting pitching...

2012 Projections:
Doc is about as consistent as they come and a perennial Cy Young candidate. 'Nuff said.

Roy Halladay - 19 W, 232 IP, 215 K, 2.48/1.05.

Lee had two of the most dominating months ever by a starting pitcher last year, and doesn't shy away from a challenge. He's the best #2 starting pitcher in baseball.

Cliff Lee - 17 W, 224 IP, 207 K, 2.89/1.08.

Hollywood is on the brink of free agency. Wouldn't be surprised to see him rack up 20 wins and possibly even out duel the rest of the NL for the Cy Young. The kid has become a man and damn he's good.

Cole Hamels - 18 W, 228 IP, 212 K, 2.61/1.04.

No real sophomore jinx/slump here, but a return to what will likely become the norm for The Vanimal is expected. He'll do a good enough job that we won't miss Oswalt.

Vance Worley - 13 W, 185 IP, 164 K, 3.88/1.28.

This is assuming two things- 1) Blanton remains with the Phillies and 2) he remains healthy. Both are far from a given. However, I think Heavy B will put up respectable numbers this year.

Joe Blanton - 11 W, 181 IP, 146 K, 4.13/1.35.

Doc 22 wins, Lee 19, Hamels 17, Worley 12, Blanton 7 (before being traded for a 3B at deadline.

Looks like Cole is going to be the 4th starter again! WTF????

How does Cole Hamels earn a demotion to start behind Vance Worley? I don't care about "splitting the lefties." Please let this guy walk Phillies. You place no value in his abilities and he deserves better. Much better.

Rellis- he's only a #4 starter because of strategy, not merrit. I think Cole Hamels knows his value to the club. He's been paid and overall treated accordingly.

You can add 3-4 wins across the board if we get 4-5 runs per game.

Neither Lee or any other starter should have to hit a homerun and pitch a shutout to get a W.

I wouldn't be surprised if Worley and Blanton have over year with more w's and k's
