Double Header- Siamese Dream
Double header, double the pleasure? Likely not with the way the Phils are playing. Cole Hamels and Joe Blanton go for the good guys, while the enemy strikes back with RA Dickey and Dillon Gee. Maybe the bats will come alive today. Maybe they won't.
*Remember when Jason Grilli was pitching lights out for the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs? Well, he's now twirling his magic in Pittsburgh (26 G, 30.2 IP, 2-1, 8 HLD, 2.43 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, 35 K). Yeah, I'd rather have him in the Phils bullpen during the playoffs than Michael Stutes or David Herndon. Just saying.
*Matt Kemp is on the brink of the NL triple crown. He's 3rd in batting average, tied for the lead in homeruns, and 1st in RBI. Wow!
*This could be a very interesting awards season, because Kemp might get the MVP, while his teammate Clayton Kershaw is likely to receive the Cy Young. MVP and CY from the same team is amazing alone, but from a team that wasn't even close to sniffing the playoffs would be just shocking.
*It appears the Cole Hamels has a medical maladay below. What should he do? Visit a Canadian pharmacy of course.
