I absolutley love that the Phillies pitchers make the opposing batters earn it. 18 walks through 9 games is fantastic. Lee, Oswalt, Hamels, and Halladay are all strike throwers. Hopefully Blanton follows suit.

Way to drop some LONS knowledge. Sweet!

I'm probably not the first person to bring this up, but it bears being discussed. Both J-Roll and Jose Reyes are free agents at the end of this year. Would you rather have Rollins in his twilight years or Reyes at or just past the top of bell curve of his career? Personally, I'd like to see Rollins - for all his failings - have a career only in pinstripes, but I can also see him finishing out his career near his hometown in SF (whose shortstop is currently Miguel Tejada - umm, what?!?). Reyes seems to have outgrown his outlandishness but he's a guy you love to hate Matthew Barnaby style. Finances aside, can you envision a scenario in which Reyes lands here during the offseason?

Preserve Jon- it's funny you should ask, because I've been contemplating doing a "Make Rollins a Phillie for Life" post. Reyes is exciting, but he's going to come at a hefty price. I love J-Roll. I want him to end his career as a Phillie.
