Might have a future Phucco on our hands...the Phils inked Delwyn Young to a minor league deal with an invite to spring training. .258/.709 over 5 seasons with Dodgers and Pirates, and can play 2nd base and corner outfield.
I'd like this signing. This does carry on the Phillies wrong brother syndrome though, as Delmon would be the much better Young...hell, even DaMeatHook D'mitri.
Just did my first training run for the 5K at the end of March and I have some observations... 1. It's friggin cold out! 2. It's amazing how much snot can run out of your nose in 30 minutes. Seriously, if I had kept going I might of dehydrated, and not because of sweat but loss of snot. 3. I'm fat and out of shape.

Nice article about why Cliff Lee may have selected Philly over Texas and NY. It credits Chooch as being a strong pressence behind the plate.
Ruiz was the team's MVP last year (as voted here) and I believe his relationship with the pitching staff is paramount.

is still pissed the thing is sold out, i would have had a reason to be fat and in shape but now i will just need to be fat and out of shape
The fact that this thing sold out has a lot to say about Phillies fans, and certainly none of the things Mets fans say about them.
The thing sold out in less than a day. My sister went to register last night and it was already full.
