Name That Phillie: Old-Head Edition

This man is a blast from the Phillies past, but not too awfully long ago, just a few decades. He had a decent career and is still active in the game today. Do it, do it, name that Phillie...

Nice use of the '83 Fleer card.

I also found this fantastic picture of the Sarge on.. well I dunno, but he's on something.

Eyeballs poppin' out of the head.

I ammend the previous post to say "he looks like he's on something" just for liability issues.

Garcia- he's on something...cocaine!

Shit was huge in the 80's. People were using it like vitamins.

Oh yeah, Krukow is the answer. Bravo!

The Phillies have not re-signed free-agent reliever Chad Durbin because he is seeking a two-year deal at a higher annual salary than the club is comfortable giving him, tweets Jayson Stark of ESPN.com. Philly is also intent on preserving the roster spot for the sake of grooming younger relievers, according to Stark.

2012 will be key if the team can groom the likes of Schwimmer, Stutes, DeFrautus, Mathieson, Bastardo and others into the pen. They could remake the pen with homegrown talent in just a couple of years at an inexpensive way to balance payroll

who is schwimmer? he's not in baseball reference.

I truly believe Bastardo can be a shutdown lefty in the pen. He just needs some seasoning, and hopefully that begins this year.

The other guys you mentioned has bright futures as well, except for maybe Mathieson. It's time for him to make a big impression.

And to answer you Robert it's David Schwimmer, he of the television shows Friends. All joking aside, it's Michael Schwimer (1 M), who has been fantastic in the minors: 11-9, 2.77 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, 166 IP, 227 K.
