Please let's not remember that season. It makes watching the current Phillies so difficult.
The 09 Phillies, while not a "better" team, were certainly as capable.
The 10 Phillies were a better team. Just flat out, could have dominated the Playoffs without breaking a sweat. But their bats stopped completely, a running problem this year.
So until we can win another Championship, the 08 season will be a bitter pill to swallow, because we should have had the 09 and 10 season as well.
Good news is, by '12 the Phillies should only have Utley left, and maybe a better hitting team.
