Chooch is Team MVP

The people have spoken (electronically by clicking "vote") and they have chosen Carlos Ruiz as the Phillies 2010 Team MVP. Chooch barely beat out Doc Halladay, but blew Howard and Werth away. The lovable Panamanian catcher has handled one of the better pitching staffs in recent memory and added a much needed boost from the bottom of the lineup by continually getting the clutch hit and turning the lineup over with a bodacious on base percentage. Congratulations Senor October. Now with the calendar turned to October, the big stage awaits and it's your time to shine.

I appreciate how much the pitchers trust Ruiz. They hardly ever shake him off.
