Greg Gross is the Answer

I'm not sure what the hell the question was, but Greg Gross is the answer. Since he usurped batting coach duties from Milt Thompson, the Phillies are a perfect 8-0. During that time the bats have come alive- 46 runs (5.75 per game) and are batting .319 (87-273). Dude is a hitting guru!

*While perusing the players' stats I noticed a handful of Phillies batters have walked more this season than struck out (Ruiz 35:28, Utley 40:37, and Rollins 23:19 BB/K).

*Some "extra" stats for Roy Oswalt: 4-0, 3.66 ERA, 1.44 WHIP in 8 in the playoffs, and .158 batting average during his career.

*The Phillies have 16 players under contract next season for $145 million. Lidge, Howard, Utley, Rollins, Oswalt, Hamels, Ibanez, Blanton, Polanco and Victorino will be making the big bucks.
