The Phils only mustered 3 runs. Ho-hum. The offense is still in an extending slumber, but the pitching was on point and 3 runs proved to be enough. Halladay got the win, but the story of the game was Brad Lidge and that splendid sweeping slider. He looked absolutely fan-freakin-tastic locking down the save with a 1-2-3 9th inning. 11 pitches, 8 for strikes, 2 strike outs. That's the best he's looked since the season of perfection in 2008.
By the way, WSBGMs guaranteed victory due to a strange Golden Girls connection, and the Phils delivered. Watch out for a winning streak. Do it for Rue!
