Vintage Lidge...the Good Version

The Phils only mustered 3 runs. Ho-hum. The offense is still in an extending slumber, but the pitching was on point and 3 runs proved to be enough. Halladay got the win, but the story of the game was Brad Lidge and that splendid sweeping slider. He looked absolutely fan-freakin-tastic locking down the save with a 1-2-3 9th inning. 11 pitches, 8 for strikes, 2 strike outs. That's the best he's looked since the season of perfection in 2008.

By the way, WSBGMs guaranteed victory due to a strange Golden Girls connection, and the Phils delivered. Watch out for a winning streak. Do it for Rue!

I don't want to make too much out of one appearance (in reference to Lidge), but if you saw him last night your hopes probably are up that he's back and back in a very good bullpen fortifying way.
