STFU Schilling

101-78 record, 3.35 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and 1554 k's in 1659.1 ip over 9 seasons with the Phillies should command respect right? Not in the case of the pompous ass known to America as Mr. Bloody Sock Curt Schilling.
I think trading Cliff Lee was the stupidest thing they've ever done, and they didn't have to. They didn't have to do it. It was a stupid, stupid move. They could've had a World Series berth locked up right now with those two guys at the top of their rotation. ~Schilling

Really, Lee and Halladay equal an automatic World Series? Well, holy guano Rube, what in the River of Styx were you thinking? I didn't know Major League Baseball started handing out regular seasons byes if you had a strong enough 1-2 punch at the top of your rotation. Guess that means the Cardinals (Wainwright/Carpenter) are getting the automatic bid now, or maybe it defaults to San Francisco (Lincecum/Cain). Seriously, I've heard enough from Schilling over the past years that I never want to hear from him again. Whether it's political views, second guessing GMs, badmouthing PED users, financing research for lab rats, or adding the word "chillax" to the dictionary...enough!!! All of the above is the job of bloggers, not you Senator Schilling. Lets give the 2010 season a whirl before bestowing epic fail on Amaro's trade of Lee.

Well, damn. I just went to The Fightins and saw the posted nearly the identical thing yesterday, even the title is eerily similar. Swear I wasn't copy-catting.

I don't think the Lee trade was stupid and it's far too soon to judge.

Just like everyone was ready to anoint the Ibanez signing complete brilliance after 1/2 a season. Dude still has 2 seasons to go at a hefty price, so lets wait to see how that pans out.

You picked an odd day to slam Schilling. He's one of Friday's intriguing people on CNN.com with his book about his family's dealing with his son's autism (Aspberger's syndrome).

I don't hate Schilling, he was a great pitcher and he does many good things with his life (charities and what not). I just wish he's shut his trap on a lot of subjects. And to say it was a "stupid, stupid move" is just a stupid, stupid statement.
