150/50

Roy Halladay comes just as advertised, purely awesome! The man is a throwback style pitcher, in that he wants the ball until he sees "W" lit up on the scoreboard for the good guys. Today he picked up win #150 by notching his 50th complete game of his career. WSBGMs salutes you Doc Halladay.

Cliff who?

I almost posted that Andrew, but didn't want a Corey rant.

Haliday is awesome...now it's back to four guys who make you watch the game praying they can last 5 innings. That's Cliff who!

that's right. halladay has nothing to do with lee. now, if jc ramirez comes up and helps this team win a WFC, then maybe i'll agree with "cliff who?"

You're absolutely right Corey. But the media doesn't seem to get that point. So its fun to poke fun. Although, two stellar games against the gNats and Houston hardly make an ace... Next up for Roy are the Marlins. I'm most looking forward to getting some (hopefully) interleague payback this season. Maybe have a winning record for once!

Like I said before, lets see how the season pans out for Mr. Lee before trashing the trade. If Lee pitches well and we're a starting pitcher short then by all means bitch away, but until then lets chill and see what happens.

no. the trade sucks. i will not keep my opinions to myself. that is bad business for a blogger.

"chill and see what happens." from the man who wanted to trade raul ibanez in the first week of he season.

Well, the guys we got for Lee are very good. Like, surprisingly good. Aumount is a good prospect, but he may end up being the worst of the three.

And, what's Lee done so far? Been ejected and suspended from a spring training game and gotten injured? I think Lee was injured when we traded him, turning this into a Freddy Garcia trade. Makes me happy.

I wasn't ready to trade Ibanez. I do think he'll have a very mediocre year though.

You don't have to shut up about the Lee trade, bitch all you want. But I don't mind the trade at all and that's my opinion that I choose to voice.

"I've already given up on Raul"
"Can we release Raul Ibanez now?"

sorry, you wanted to straight up release him, not trade him. and now you "don't mind" the lee trade? just last week you said:

"Was the Cliff Lee trade a good one? No."

GM-Carson said...

Ok, first off the comments about Raul were said in jest. I don't think he's horrible, nor do I think he should actually be released, I was merely venting at the time.

Was the Cliff Lee trade a good one? No, but I don't think it's a bad one either. That's the point I'm trying to make. Get upset all you want about Lee being gone, but what happens with those prospects and what kind of season Lee has will determine the verdict of the trade.

Don't worry, I'll choose my words more carefully in the comment section now.
