This former Phillie played all over the National and American League. He only spent a portion of a season in red pinstripes. He averaged 3.4 homeruns per season, but that wasn't really his forte. Name that player.

Say hello to Ambrose Everett Burnside (May 23, 1824 – September 13, 1881) was an American soldier, railroad executive, inventor, industrialist, and politician from Rhode Island, serving as governor and a U.S. Senator. His distinctive style of facial hair is now known as sideburns, derived from his last name.
Wow, in hour 2 now and still no correct answers. Finally one that wasn't easy.
From Stark- The Phillies would like to add a veteran left-handed reliever on a minor league deal, but Alan Embree and Ron Mahay are holding out for big league deals at this point, despite the Phillies' interest.
Stan javier
If thats Stan Javier, which I'm certain its supposed to be based on the information, that photo is shopped, or he had plastic surgery to make his nose larger
That was a picture of Stan Javier from the back of one of his baseball cards. I was going to use and '86 Donrus or '87 Topps card, but it would have been too easy.
Baseball reference lists Javier as averaging 5 HR per 162 games.... oh well
He played 17 seasons and hit 57 homeruns. I divided 57/17 and got my answer.
got it. 5 HR was per every 162 games
are you kiddin me... ?? i was running the mariners right before that... and then we have some little bitch.. who already has the lead.. 57/17 tough math.. shut it
