Offense- Jimmy Rollins, Shane Victorino, Chase Utley, Ryan Howard, Jayson Werth, Raul Ibanez, Pedro Feliz, Carlos Ruiz, Paul Bako, Greg Dobbs, Matt Stairs, and Ben Francisco.
Pitching- Cliff Lee (game 1 starter), Cole Hamels, Joe Blaton, Pedro Martinez, JA Happ, Brad Lidge, Ryan Madson, Chad Durbin, Scott Eyre, and Brett Myers.
Surprise Inclusions- Miguel Cairo, Kyle Kendrick, and Antonio Bastardo.
Surprise Outcasts- Eric Bruntlett, Tyler Walker, and Clay Condrey.
My Opinion- I understand the need for a 2nd lefty in the bullpen, especially against a lefty laden Rockies squad, but why in the hell would you take Bastardo? He barely showed anything when he was a starter (6.75 ERA), hasn't worked much as a reliever (1 ip in relief), and gets lit up by lefties (.303 avg/.846 OPS against). Sergio Escalona would have been a better choice if you felt that pressed for another lefty in relief. I agree with Cairo over Bruntlett, because Brunt is worthless and Miguel actually hit well after being recalled from Triple-A. Brett Myers is an injury concern, and hasn't pitched well in any role he's been in this season. Therefore, I'd rather have Condrey or Walker. Kendrick is there for mop-up and can go 2-3 innings if need be. Let's hope his services aren't needed.
