Hamels is such a vagina. Doesn't get the close call on Tex, so he gets rattled and then serves up the big hit to A-Rod. He's done this pouty baby shit all season and postseason. Grow up!
I know he was awesome last season, but I honestly don't want to see Hamels pitching again in '09. Tonight's performance was a rerun of his entire season. Few good innings, then blammo- torched.
With CC against Blanton tomorrow and Burnett against Cliff in Game 5, this series may be over. Phils needed Hamels to pitch well tonight and he shat the bed. I'm thoroughly pissed.
As much as I want to blame the pitching, the Phillies really need to hit the ball. How many chances did they have to knock the starting pitchers out early in Game 2 and Game 3 to get to the Yankee's soft relief pitching underbelly? That they utterly failed at? Pitching has to be better, but how can they mess those chances up and expect to win?
There's plenty of blame to go around. How can the Phillies become so complacent? And why, in the second inning when their pitcher can't throw a strike, isn't Milt Thompson telling them to stop swinging? They are morons! Just don't swing, he's walked the last two guys, he'll walk you too. But instead they get swing happy when he's not even fucking throwing fastballs and the Phillies let him get out of a jam.
Game 3's loss fits equally on the narrow, slouching shoulders of Hamels and the collective shoulders of the 'pen. While it's clear the offense should have continued to push Pettite around in the 2nd, and Howard/Utley/Rollins/Vic are coming up small, this game was in our hands.
Hamels should not be permitted near the field for the rest of the series. He can take his '08 WS MVP trophy and sit and spin. I said this last night BEFORE I read his rediculous post-game comments. He's of no use to this team in it's effort to repeat this year.
The 'pen also needs to get its collective head out of its nether regions. Doubling a 2-run defecit (5-3) to four runs, allowing the NYY to tack on runs the way they did in the late innings is inexcusable.
However, all that said, we're only down 2-1. I know the expected pitching matchups don't favor us tonight, but we've gotten to CC before (more than one occasion). If we can put some runs on in multiple innings, tonight is winnable. After that, we have Lee tomorrow.
Let's hope we see some positive things out of tonight, and avoid making tomorrow do or die.

Does Shane have to be the woman EVERY time? That's just letting the New York Post win.
Can we get a picture of Shane in Rambo? Or Last Action Hero?
I love these Jib-Jab holiday things, make me laugh every time. Manuel singing is the best.

Charlie Manual luck is running out ....he's pissing away the series right now.
why are we letting chad durbin pitch to A-rod????
If they lose this game it's a shame, because it was very winnable.

Ryan Howard, Utley, and Ibanez all seem to have checked out for the series
Charlie has completely lost all sense of logic.
This series really came down to Cole Hamels and he not even close to good enough.

It's all disgusting.
This series got real ugly in a hurry. Wednesday was great, but now, not so much.
Forgive me for the rant I'm about to spew...
