Every August/September since 2005, RyHo comes around and saves our asses. Every May, June, and July since 2007, dumbasses down here in Philly forget that and want to trade him.
I just don't understand why Ryan gets so hot the last two months... But I love it!Myers struck out 5 in 2 innings at AA. Looks like he wants it.
I'd bring Myers up to AAA (or stay in AA if they do have the better talent) and have him ready for the majors by next Friday. And if there's a big lead they can bring him in to, I'd do it and see what he's got.Or bring him up right now. I don't know. All I know is I can't wait to get out of Pittsburgh. Fucking God-Forsaken City that it is.
i like pittsburgh.
I wouldn't wait. If Myers is healthy and cleared to play. And if he has the velocity, the movement, the pain-free delivery, then bring him up. Option Cairo. Put Myers in the next time there's a 7th or 8th inning lead. If he does well, have him "committee" with Lidge for closer.Lidge and Madson have cost us 10 wins and lots of confidence. No one expects them to be perfect, but I would expect that number to be closer to 5 and at the end of the season too. Those 10 wins back and we're a lock for the postseason and we're confident to repeat.
I hope to like Pittsburgh too, since I'm going tonight.4 Phillies are in the Top 10 in the NL for runs scored (Utley, Howard, Victorino, and Werth), with Rollins knocking on the door in 11th place.4 Phillies are in the Top 10 in the NL for homeruns (Utley, Howard, Ibanez, and Werth).
Madson now has 5 blown saves this year. Couple that with Lidge's 9 and that is alot. Charlie stated on radio a few days ago that he expects Myers, Romero, and Condrey all back after September 1.That will help alot. Condrey has the pitches and velocity and the attitude that could help him as closer if put in there. Lidge was doing decent until 2 days ago and that appearance was down right awful. Myers is my first choice if Lidge cant fix it shortly, with Condrey as my 2nd choice (as long as both show they are back 100%)
I know Bruntlett is the most hateable Phillie with his low BAand questionable fielding, but he is still here because NO ONE in the Organization can play SS if Jimmie Rollins goes down. What player do you really hate the most?I HATE RYAN MADSON. Going back to his, I demand to the the 5th Starter, to the constant destruction he brings into the game when there is ANY PRESSURE.I do not care if he is throwing 199 MPH not 99 like last night. He does not have the make up.
Damn, that is one cheesey looking video. And to think, this band came out AFTER the 90's. Which Phillie do I hate the most? Without question, Brad Lidge.
Ryan Madson is fantastic in the setup role. His ERA would be much lower if you took away the times he closed. To say you hate him is just hornswaggle. He is simply just not a closer. Not everyone performs well under critical pressure. Everyone has their place, and Madson's is in the setup role. Unfortunately Brad Lidge's place is on a chair duct-taped to it right now.
Come to think of it, Madson would even have less pressure on him if he was confident that the guy pitching the ninth innning could actually perform his job.
Myers, Condrey, and Romero are like the Three Kings in the Bible.
being mad at ryan madson for being a bad closer is like putting chase utley behind the plate and then being mad that he isn't throwing out enough baserunners.
GOD DAMMIT IM ALREADY FUMMING AND ITS THE FIRST INNING.WHY THE FUCK CAN THIS TEAM OF ASS CLOWNS NOT GET A RUNNER IN FROM 3RD WITH LESS THAN TWO OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!MARK MY WORDS THIS TEAM WILL GET KNOCKED OUT IN THE PLAYOFFS.....NOT BY LIDGE SUCKING.....BUT BECAUSE OF THEIR COMPLETE INABILITY TO EXECUTE A SAC MOTHER FUCKING FLY!!!!!!
And low and behold......the phillies lose by 1 run because they couldn't hit a sac fly in the 1st inning.much like they almost lost yesterday for the same reason.
Trevor Hoffman was just put on waivers and the Phils are rumored to be interested. He has 27 saves and a 1.something ERA.The player I hate the most now is Bruntlet. Madson, Moyer, Lidge, and company are ok and I will root for them, but Brunt doesn't really help with suspect fielding and no hitting.
