The Hangover

From Phillies.com- Somebody asked Jamie Moyer if a loss like the one the Phillies had just suffered could have a hangover effect. Moyer responded with, "It depends how much you drink afterward."

It's time to stop making excuses for Brad Lidge like- "he was perfect in 2008", "give him time, he'll come around, it's still early, or "last night was Feliz's fault for booting that ball". No, it was Lidge's 5th blown save of the season and he's the one that walked a batter and gave up 2 hits. When you're "Lights Out" you're supposed to keep runners off of the base paths. From Lidge, "The season hasn't gone quite as smooth as last year. I know that. But I've been feeling great. I felt really good again tonight. It's frustrating. You want everything to go well. Then something like that happens." Frustrating? F**king right it's frustrating Brad!

That was a bullshit loss last night. Moyer pitched beautifully to only have Lidge piss it away. Gotta win games like that. I know the Phils are still in 1st place, but ya gotta win games like that!!!

What they need to do is bounce back and get the win today. There is nothing worse than a blown save in baseball to demoralize a team. They need to put it behind them and move on. I do partly blame Feliz for that loss, but you're right when you say he put runners on in the first place.

I'm well aware that he was perfect last year and without him, the Phillies probably wouldn't have won it all. But he's gotten a free pass for long enough. Five blown saves in the first half of the season is unacceptable. He needs to step it up big time because I don't know about everyone else, but I don't feel comfortable with him taking the mound with a small lead in the 9th anymore.

A game of inches, should have gotten the strike call, should have had the gold glover at 3rd not make an error, should have had El Bruntletto catch the ball innings earlier.

We need a real Right Handed Bench Bat.

Every single thing that goes wrong for the Phillies is El Bruntletto's Fault.

Print the T-Shirts.

El Bruntletto is Chris Wheeler's Red Headed Bastard Step Child.

i think the first game where our defense really played a huge role in the loss, can't leave those runners on base either tho

The fact the we currently have a 3 man bench and Bruntlett is our one of the three is downright sickening.

That loss is surely not all Brad's fault. The first finger I'll point will be directly at Jimmy Rollins. He could have done a lot of damage in that game and he failed.

Lidge let it go after some bats fell short.

Fuck you Brad Lidge.

Nothing like having a 4 man bench in extra innings.
Drop tashner or Chan Ho and call somebody up already.

Where is our offense today?????

Jimmy Rollins Sucks.

GM-Carson said...

I can't get over it, 6 mother fucking blown saves! Mariano Rivera would be demoted by now.

Lidge has me so pissed that I can't even find humor in the Rockies signing Adam Eaton.

Phils offense is shitting the bed. So much has been bad about this games. Bad hitting, bad calls by the umps, and 1 shitty closer!
