Does Myers's potential injury open the door for the Phillies to actively pursue Peavy?
I know he is more money, but it is not like there is a salary cap to worry about. The Phillies spend a lot of money - which to me says they aren't afraid to spend money, not that they can't spend more.
I am always afraid of taking on a big pitcher contract because they can get hurt or go downhill like that - but I think it is better to take a risk like this than sit with a three man rotation and two instant losses.

let's hope for another night like his last outing
I'm just hoping for a win, but 7-8 innings of 0-3 run ball would be nice from Super Brett.
The egg has been laid by both Myers (5 r in 5.2 ip) and the Phils offense (1 r off crap pitcher Burke Badenhop).
this team contantly amazes me at how they can smoke a guy like aj burnett and can't do shit off a guy like Burke Badenhop.
Well the nats are in town so the phils will play down to there level and play another bunch of 1 extra inning games with them for sure
