We posted the Rollins/Dicks commercial when it first came out.
I was going to run some of the Goosebumps commercials and a few others, but I didn't want too many on the post.
By the way Jimmy Rollins (who was DH'ing, but should have been playing SS) went 4-4 against Japan last night. He's batting .467 in the WBC. That butt-trumpet Jeter made a costly error as USA lost. Why the hell is Jeter at SS over Rollins...Rollins is a legit Gold Glover.
Rollins is freaking awesome. hopefully translates to an MVP caliber year. can't tell you how many times I've had to convince Yankees fans that Jeter only gets gold gloves because he's a pretty boy. They ALWAYS bring up the ONE play in which he flips the ball backhanded to the catcher. Inevitable...
Haha no they are doing some corny fashion spread. But that's what I thought too. I said yesterday that his new porno "The Meat to Beat" will be out soon...
There was a Comcast Sportsnet commercial with Mike Lieberthal walking down a Vet tunnel and encountering someone wearing a Blue Shirt, poking him a few times and repeatedly asking him if it was Met's Blue. And when he eventually responds with "No it's Lands End" Lieby gives him an awesome angry stare.
The Lieby commercial was part of an excellent series of Phillies commercials for the last year at the Vet, if I remember correctly. That whole crop of commercials are A+ material. We should just ask Comcast/Phillies themselves to make them available on Youtube, because I doubt they're on there (I couldn't find them.)
But they are true classics. And I think Abreu is in some, so we can all ooh and ahh over what it was like to have an outfielder who wouldn't run into a wall.

At one time Jeter was a pretty good fielder, but that time has since past.
J-Roll is also appearing in Playboy with his woman. This all leads to another MVP season methinks.

The Phils should make a DVD of commercials over the years. Would be sad and entertaining.
