One of my most memorable moments from a game was when the Phillies played the Washington Nationals a few years back. About eight of my friends and I decided to go down because that night was one of the loved Dollar Dog promotions. We bought a bunch of dogs and took our seats high up behind rightfield right against the chain link fence. About two innings went by before we decided we could do something with all these leftover hot dog wrappers.
I need to explain something else before I divulge what we did with our trash. We have this friend Roshun who backs out of a lot of plans like weekends at the beach, going to see a movie, and this particular Phillies game. We decided to enact a little bit of a payback for his years of weaselly-ness.
We began to wrap the wrappers around the fence as if to spell out something to cheer on the team except this was to enact revenge on Roshun. It didn't take long before we had written out Roshun's cell phone number in hot dog wrappers for all the stadium to see.
We would later find out that he had received the maximum amount of vociemails his phone could hold, I think around 50 something. Roshun had to miss the game because of some meeting at work. He explained to us that as he had to get up and leave the meeting because he was getting so many phone calls he thought there was some sort of family emergency. When he left the room and listened to several of the voicemails he was confused as to why a bunch of drunk people that said they were at the Phillies game were calling him. It is a great memory and one of the best pranks we ever pulled.
