So he only gave up 4 runs, but still, tack on another loss to Brett Myers W-L record. I understand that base running has not been the Phils strong suit of late, but looking at your "number one" and seeing a 2-6 next to his name is disgusting. So much for getting 30 wins minimum out of our "aces."
i'm convinced there's something wrong with Brett's arm
Yes something is wrong. Sad.Who would have figured that the bullpen would be number 1 and thatEaton would be out pitching Myers.Or that no chin wade would be laughing down at us in the standings.Still time to right the ship. We are short 2 starters, and a CF who can hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth.
What the hell is up with the Phils? They go and score 15 runs while Hamels pitches like shit, but can't back up decent performances? I'm glad they won, but this team is infuriating.
Yes it is.Happy Labor Day Everyone.10 game home stand. Head to Head with the Marlins. Time to Cowboy Up.
Sir Alden- Labor Day is the "end" of summer in the beginning days of September. You meant "Happy Memorial Day" as it is the "start" to summer.
Good to see Burrell right his ship and start hitting again in this series (3Hrs).And how good is Dobbs as a pinch hitter? He is very valuable for this team (just shy of 500 BA as a pinch hitter with 10 RBI's). Taguchi hasn't done alot, but Dobbs and Coste have led this bench for the Phils. Bruntlet, Jenkins, and Werth also have done fairly well off the bench.
If wearing a Phils cap is being on drugs then I am permanently stoned. I am so wacked I think I saw the Phils score 15 runs today. Hamels pitched lousy ball and did not even register a strikeout. I'm tripping. This Phils cap is good.
Utley hit his homer over the Chase sign. Perfect.
Hack-Happy-Howard went hitless though...who would have thunk?!
Howard ought to start giving to charity 10k every time he strikes out. Over a season, that might balance his salary out.
