Slump Watch
Pat Burrell is 1 for his last 12 and only has 1 homer in his last 21 games. His average has slid from .350 to .286 in 3 weeks. This is worth watching. At what point do Howard and Burrell cross paths? And what date? I say .255 in about a month...

Rubber Game
Shawn Marcum brings an ERA (2.22) half that of his opposite number, Kyle Kendrick. His WHIP and K to walk ratio are great and he's on a hot streak, allowing only 2 runs in his last 24.1 innings. This should go well...Corey

I was at a concert last night, but when I got the text alerts that Barajas had hit 2 home runs, especially the slam, I almost vomited all over the people in front of me.
Good lord, could the videos during rain delays be any older? Ridiculous...
I'm really freakin' tired of all this rain. Seems like any day I have time to do yard work it's raining or just rained meaning my grass is super high!
Hopefully Kendrick can still go when they come back from this delay.
I hate Adam Eaton!
Any chance that Adam Eaton could get struck by lightning ... and if so, would the Phils still be responsible for the remainder of his contract?
Speaking of Adam Eaton, how long till he is replaced in this rotation? Chad Durbin actually could be a viable option, but I would guess they'll end up bringing up an untested arm from the system.

I swear, every time Manuel intentionally walks someone, the guy inevitably comes around to score (Matt Stairs today).
This game is turning to crap in a hurry. Phils keep wasting men on base. I love Utley, but he's having a horrible game. C'mon you slouch sons-a-whores!
My goodness, this 1:35 game isn't going to conclude until midnight at this rate. Double rain delay game, that's just ugly weather for Phanatic's BDay.
Thoughts:
*Kept Durbin in a few batters too long.
*I hate intentional walks. It seems almost every time Manuel calls for it, that batter who gets the automatic 4 balls comes around to score (Matt Stairs).
*Pat Burrell and Chase Utley are cooling off big time.
*Rudy Seanez looked horrible!
*Far too many men left on base, they deserve to lose this game. This team just isn't seizing the opportunity that the Braves and Mets are giving them and this season it WILL come back to haunt them.
Bad game so far. We need a ninth inning rally. I agree with the previous comments, too many LOB!

Well, Burrell and Coste stirred up a little excitement in the bottom of the ninth. It's nice to see Pat getting some hit after cooling off for a bit. It would have been nice to win this past series, but let's go to Washington and beat up on that team for a change.
