Who are these guys?

*1- The dude that played 1st base before all-time great slugger Ryan Howard.

*2- The filthy dirty rat!

*3- A big flop.

Thome was a great ballplayer, and he tossed a foul ball to me during my last game I attended at the Vet.

Wagner said some stinging words, but I honestly agreed with everything he said in retrospect.

Millwood, yeah he sucked

Thome was good. I wish we could have figured out a way to get both him and Howard in the lineup together...imagine that?!

Wagner was awesome when he was healthy and here. Now that he plays for NY and runs his mouth, I hate him, regardless if I agree with his comments or not.

Millwood- whatever...

Carson, you will be happy to know that
Wagners name is mud amongst Mets fans. I have Mets pals from having lived in NY for a few years and they all cite Wagner blowing NLCS Game 2 vs the Cards and for not being trusted to be put a tie game in the 9th for Game 7. I had warned them all that Wagner has a track record of big-game chokage and that he is unreliable in tie games and I was able to say "told ya so".

I remember all too well good ol' Billyboy blowing some crucial games against Houston a couple seasons ago, and surrendering homeruns to Mike Lowell too.

Who can forget the gutpunch when Wags served up that meatball to Craig Biggio? As I remember, most of the time when Wags blew a game, it was some obscure scrub getting the big hit and sure enough, who got to Wagner in NLCS Game 2?...So Taguchi.

O's starter, Kris Benson, is down for the season. Since I should be a GM, here's my move. Trade Lieber for Jay Gibbons, then move Victorino to CF, with a platoon of Werth and Gibbons in RF. Trade Rowand to Padres for Linebrink...brilliant!

Inspiring - much like the baseball card that I own that predicted Jeff Stone would be an all star.

Check out my new site. It provides tongue-in-cheek commentary on the disappointments of the Yankees.

Thome is the man, too bad they don't have the DH in the NL - could you imagine the lineup you've got now with Thome in it?

Wagner is Wagner.

Milwood - overreated.

You all can't have Gibby! NO

Carson- We share the same shouldbe GM brain as Lieber for Gibbons, Rowand for Linebrink was the *exact* same thought that I came up with. Sad to say, unconfirmed reports have the O's with a prelim agreement with Steve Trachsel. Yo, Maryland O's fan, you will love Trax...actually you wont, but when that slowpoke takes the hill you will have plenty of time to go grab a Natty Boh and crabcake and get back to your seat before the O's come back to bat.

Maryland Orioles' Fan said...

Ugh. We got Trachsel...

I'd rather have Leiber.

chuckm said...

Being its not like the Birds are going to contend for the playoffs, so why clog up a starter slot with Trachsel. Serious. The Orioles should let Loewen and Penn get their work in.

Burrell calling Wagner a rat is one of my favorite things about Pat.

Millwood sucks but his no-hitter was fun to watch

Anyone remember when Milton almost had the no-no against the cubs in 04, then Glanville f*cked it up?

Also, CANT WAIT UNTIL THE SOX COME IN TO PHILLY. Gonna cheer on Thome like there is no tomorrow

Agreed, that first game when JI
JIM THOME is back in Philly will definitely be one to remember. He is the only player I know of that got the "Jim! Thooooooome!!!!!" intro *every single time* he came up to bat, how awesome is he??

And you heard it here first folks, Gillick will pull an Ed Wade special and swap Lieber to the O's for....Danys Baez!!

GM-Carson said...

Das411- take back the Baez for Lieber rumor, or I will beat you with a soap laden sock- Full Metal Jacket style!

BENTZ said...

Yeah, getting a reliever from the O's for Lieber was my first thought after hearing Benson went down (perhaps his wife was involved somehow), but the O's just signed all those relievers, would they be eligible to be traded yet??

GM-Carson said...

I believe a free agent signee has to wait 2 months after the start of the season to be traded...or something like that.

O's already signed slow-poke Steve Trachsel, so no Lieber to Baltimore deal.
