Supposedly the Phillies have extended a minor league contract to Todd Hollandsworth. If it's a minor league pact then I'm cool with it, because it doesn't guarantee anything. ~Carson
Tidbits- Pat Burrell took a lot of called third strikes last season. For the second year in a row, he led the majors - 63 in 2006, 68 in 2005. 39 days until pitchers and catchers report...thank God!~Carson
well the Sporting News reports the World Series is scheduled to start Oct 23 so I would keep that week open to cheer on the phillies
You never know what can happen guys. Doesn't seem like it has been nearly 27 years since the Phillies raised the trophy...I remember it very well. Thanks also for the link,C&C, as I really appreciate it.The Q
Should I set my chair out on the parade route yet?
Bob D- can you reserve spots to view the parade for Corey and me?~Carson
I grabbed a few tix this season from my families plan, SF, Florida, and San Diego were the games I picked. Florida for no reason other than it's my son's B-day. That way I can be there as Pat leads the league for a third year in a row for backwards Ks.
I watched "Fever Pitch" last night, and I must say it reminds me of my obsession with the Phils...scary.~Carson
Seats on parade route saved.Fever Pitch - I imagine most of us can relate to that movie all too much.
While watching Fever Pitch, I lean over to my wife and ask, "so, do you like winter Carson or summer Carson more?" I got an emphatic "winter Carson" as a response...oh I am obsessed!~Carson
Just read the Phils might be offering lame-ass Karim Garcia a minor league contract...he's a left-handed hitting outfielder that can't hit.~Carson
i agree with your observation about "fever pitch". that is the first thing i thought when i saw the movie. i like when jimmy fallon says it makes him feel like a kid again.
At least we can lead the league in Garcias if he signs.
